Martina CHMELARZ 

Martina Chmelarz is an Austrian-born artist, scientist in arts and humanities, and cultural studies, gallerist, art collector, and seafarer. She worked as a lecturer both at the University of Vienna and at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where she also held the position of an assistant professor.
Her artistic work has been shown among others in the museum of modern art stiftung ludwig wien, in the Neue Galerie Joanneum Graz, in the Kunsthalle Basel and at ZKM.
She is represented with her artistic work in numerous public and private art collections. Media works in compiled editions are represented in numerous libraries and/or mediatheques.
She is a founding member (1993) of wochenklausur and a founding member of the SERUM-group, founded in 2003 to initiate and strengthen artistic research at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Martina Chmelarz is alumna of the University of Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the Technical University Vienna, and the Danube University Krems. She also studied at the Vrije Akademie voor Beeldende Kunsten Den Haag. She holds the academic degrees magistra artium, magistra philosophiae, doctor philosophiae, and postgraduate master of business administration in general management.
Martina Chmelarz is mediator; she was registered as civil rights mediator at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Justice until December 31, 2021. She is also a certified specialist trainer and proven DAF / DAZ trainer (a trainer in German as a foreigner language and German as second language). She dedicated her pro bono work in Austria til summer 2019 to unaccompanied migrating / fleeing persons of minor age.
Most recently she worked as a senior art consultant for a real estate company in vienna.
